Important advice for applicants for Master- or Doctoral Theses
We are always seeking for highly motivated students who want to be part of our group. Open positions are listed here. However, if no position is listed we are open for initiative applications. Research internships are offered for chemistry students of RWTH Aachen University specialized in MES and COS.
Important advice for applicants for Master- or Doctoral Theses
Like other research group leaders, I receive many international and national applications for master and doctoral theses. I hope for your understanding that I cannot respond to all applications and please accept my apologies for that. It is solely due to the amount of applications. Therefore, I would like to ask all applicants to clearly state why you want to work in my group, in which project you are interested in and if you have your own funding (we are always able to advice on applications to external funding and scholarships) and when you would like to start. I will not reply to applications not considering these notes. I want to emphasize that this does not reflect my interest in having you as person in my group or does state anything about your competencies as a researcher nor your qualification! Please do not be discouraged!
Vacant positions in other groups can be found on the webpage of the Forschungszentrum Jülich’s at the career section.
